Dennis J. Levinson, MD, FACP, FACR
Dr. Dennis J. Levinson is a board-certified physician and distinguished rheumatologist with over 40 years of experience in clinical practice, research, and medical education. He received his undergraduate education at the University of Illinois and earned his medical degree from Rosalind Franklin University (formerly Chicago Medical School) in 1964. Following three years of residency in internal medicine at Michael Reese Hospital and military service, Dr. Levinson completed fellowship training in rheumatology at the University of Chicago.
Dr. Levinson is board certified in both Internal Medicine and Rheumatology and is a Founding Fellow of the American College of Rheumatology. He served as Chief of Service and Program Director of Internal Medicine at Michael Reese Hospital from 1999 to 2008 and is a past president of the Chicago Rheumatism Society. Currently, he serves on the board of the Michael Reese Research and Education Foundation, which supports scholarships for minority students and preserves the legacy of Michael Reese Hospital.
